Here are the entries for the competition to rename this area of the forum.
There were a lot of good suggestions but we have short listed them down to the ones above based on our view that an automotive theme was a good choice. The poll will run for 10 days and multiple choices are allowed. Cheers Russ

Good shortlist. I notice "the engine room" was not shortlisted, but it seemed to recieve great enthusiasm. Oh well. The shed gets my vote.

"The Garage" or "Don't Change It" works for me. I voted Garage as I could only pick one, in the end I don't care really, I won't make a fuss about what it's called.

I voted 'The Garage' as change can be good, but honestly, 'The Pub' is a great name, and change for the sake of change is not a great thing.

I'm a bit divided. I like the witty plays on words some of the suggestions have, but then again, General Automotive really says what the forum is about.
I think from a moderator's view (which I'm not one), General Automotive would be better as it will direct people as to what is posted in there.

we need an option for none of the above. i agree it needs a name change, but i dislike all the options. as the shed is the least bad and has something to do with cars i guess i'll just pick that.
