Default Eric Bana - how can we contact him

Not sure if anyone can help but here goes
I am a member of the North Queensland Performance Ford Club. This club is based in Cairns and Townsville Queensland. We are a group of Family orientated Car enthusiasts and are trying to get an Invitation to Eric Bana and his Ford known as THE BEAST to appear at the following event.

On July 3rd this year we are holding a Ford vs Holden day in Cairns. Our aim is to have all sorts of motor vehicle displays, consisting of Daily Drives, Concourse vehicles, Project Vehicles in various stages of project rebuilds, V8 supercars and merchandise trucks as the weekend after this is the Townsville V8 Supercar race. (fingers crossed for the last one) This day is purely for all walks of life to see the hard work, love, and enthusiasm each individual has for their choice of vehicles. Cairns is a long way away from some of the larger Car shows and this is a huge following here.

PM me if anyone can help.

Hmmmm, Im, not sure how to do this, but you would be best to contact his manager. Not to sure on who that is, & where they are based, could be US, or Oz.

Edit: sorry, I see the above link is his management. Ok, well have you tried ringing them? Emails can be shortlisted & igored. But, a phonecall they dont know who it is until the pick it up.

Not to be looking for details, but are you the assigned organiser for this event? It maybe be best if the organiser, or better, club president contacts the management group in an official capacity...

Not being negative, but he may not be available due to contract commitments when your event is scheduled.

Thanks Blue Beast and yep fully understand he is probably unable to, but hey can only ask. I am on the organising comittee and have been assigned to do this. I even called the panel beating shop that fixed the beast (logan in Brissy) cause I saw the name in the background of a photo. Anyway the lady did not really want to know. All I wanted was to get a invite to him and leave it up to him to either say yay or no or nothing.

If you do find a contact for his manager/publicity etc, be wary!
They will say he will want publicity appearance money etc... which will be out of reach of the club.
You have to talk to him personally in order to avoid being told he wants $10 000 to show up....

That's my hope that he turns up simply for the love of the cars and a nice break in paradise. So yep fully aware of the whole management thing. Oh well we will see.

Late last year I attended a charity ball run by a large Sydney hospital. All money and profits made went to cancer research.

The MC is a very well known comedian. My wife has a friend that was involved in the running of the night.

I was shocked when I learnt that the MC had cost the same as any other event. I don't know, perhaps I would have assumed that out of the goodness of his heard perhaps a few grand less in his pocket would have meant a few grand more to 'the cause'.

I wonder if Banna etc have agreements that state they cannot do any public appearances unless it is under the control and management of the representatives they hire to manage their affairs?

Good luck with your search.

Eric Ban would not even get out of bed for $10k. Knowing that he spends very little time in australia I think it will be unlikely that he will be available to attend but phoning his manager would be the best option.

This event is about the motor vehicles and the enthusiasts, the intention of extending the invite to Eric will not be in the capacity of special guest but in the capacity of a like minded person sharing his enthusiasm for the motor vehicles with others. If he chooses to make contact regarding this then wonderful and if he does not then fine.

Have you tried contacting him through the panel shop that did the repairs? Their name is in the last photo in that link.

Would think they have a direct contact number, and may at least be willing to pass on a message. They probably can't give you the actual contact numbers if they want him to stay a client.

He may even be a secret member of this forum! & May see this. Or maybe one of his mates are, & PM you. Might be a long-shot though. But this thread also has its own exposure.

Try looking up other events he has attended himself, & what they were. Contact them directly, & ask how they got in contact with him....

You could try to get hold of peter hill from globe http://globecorporate.com/worldwidelocations_zoom/ Peter hill races in Carreras with him and they are apparently good mates. Explain what you are trying to do he may be of some help.

I think it would be cooler having Daryl there. I am saying that Bana is not a down to earth person, dont know the man past some movies and the Beast. But Daryl is "That Guy" that you meet at car shows, and is a joy to talk to.
