Default Re: Queensland cyclists to get 1m clearance on roads, permission to ride without helm

Pretty sure that cyclists pay to use the road Stevz.

Lets see, last year I paid something like $50K in taxes, levies, rates, stamp duties registration fees on multiple cars and motorbikes, etc, etc. I am pretty sure some of that went to the building and upkeep of a road somewhere. Actually now I think about it, the figure is probably closer to $60K. How depressing!

I'm not a regular cyclist but every month or so I will dust off the old pushie and go for a ride because the mood takes me.

Now if I want to use the road while on my bike after outlaying $50K to the government, you better believe that I damn well will!
