Didn't we all see England go through this in the 80's?
It's amazing the similarities. The consolidation of the industry into British Leyland. Huge Government intervention to keep it afloat. And then the eventual deconstruction of the industry to offshore manufacturers with lower wages. Attempts to lower the wages in the UK resulted in major strikes, and cars built with defects out of spite. How can we not draw parallels between 1980's UK and GM? Lukeyson
