And without the Commodore name, Holden would have sold a lot less Insignias.
There's quite a bit if sales cache locked up in the Territory name yet Ford go and put it on a Chinese vehicles and give Edge a less than inspiring name... That doesn't seem right. Last edited by jpd80; 16-12-2018 at 12:03 PM. |

I agree, But it would help them sell more, than introducing a less than inspiring name like Endura..

P.S. And before anyone chimes in saying wait a sec the Endura isn't out yet so don't bag it's performance...my comeback is I've watched every Youtube review of the US Edge ST V6 petrol, I know what the performance on the Territory is now, I have read up on some opposition vehicles and the Endura in tdi 140kW/440Nm spec is a let down when you factor in Ford Oz is going to charge a premium. |

I guess my frustration and that of others here is that Ford follows the UK formula too closely,
they need to understand that our market is somewhere between USA and UK, some EBs would be nice. The 2.7 EB is an interesting engine, it offers easier performance than the 2.3 EB and judging by the FE of 2.7 EB F150 to 2.3 EB Ranger, there's not really much in it. You'd think with 2.0 EB Mondeo ebbing away, Ford would at least offer a 2.0 EB or the 2.7 EB in Endura but they don't do either in RHD.... |

Most of these are coming into the country in the next week or so. It’s a shame that: 1. We don’t get the 2.7 Ecoboost like the ST in North America ( not available in RHD anywhere). 2. We get the lower spec Panther engine ( available in Europe in lower series vehicles ), and not the top Spec Bi-Turbo that is Standard in higher spec series there. I think the Bi-Turbo not being offered here, may have something to do with it being the Raptor powertrain ( and the negative press for that product if it was offered here in Endura ) ? |

And one more very important point, a seven seater isn't always bought because you need to carry seven people all the time, it's bought because they tend to have more cargo space... Last edited by Dr Smith; 18-12-2018 at 11:25 AM. |

was a 180 PS 400 nm 6MT version and a 210 PS 450 nm 6AT version. Maybe Aust is using up the 180 PS engines? that 210 PS engine would have been nice and in keeping with what competitors are offering torque wise..... |

Just read the review of Endura on drive.com.au
Comes out as ordinary with the engine struggling for performance above 60. That seems odd with 400nm of torque? |

Does seem odd when it has 400Nm from 2000-3000rpm and an 8 speed auto. At 60km/hr it would be just above idle when cruising

The Panthers ( Ecoblue) are replacing all of fords older 1.6 to 2.2 Be they PSA J/V engines or the truck / transit Pumas. Remember Wikipedia articles are posted by people who may not know everything about full usage of Ecoblue, it’s not a definite source of information. |

As a matter of interest, Ford Aust has said they got feedback from Territory owners on things like using the same name on an imported vehicle, what type of future vehicle buyers would like, and so on...now I've owned quite a few Territory's and amongst my extended family a "small car yard" in numbers over the years and not one has been asked a thing from Ford on future product planning. Has anyone here been involved in this research. From memory the new car buyers survey that is sent out never covered these topics either and I've completed a few as well.
