hi everyone my mate has a 95 mondeo 2litre auto that runs great except when the weather gets over 32-35 then it chugs and chuffs and stops and wont start untill the next day. On a really hot day it will only allow you to go 50 meters before it stalls and wont start again!!! i hope someone can help cheers and thanks in advance

sounds like its getting low fuel, too much evaporation so wont run, check fuel filter is clean, possibly an injector clean may help too.

hot weather = low oxygen and also means high fuel evaporation, so then end result is as engine warms up not enough fuel and oxygen can be mixed to run the car (this is theory) hope you get it solved.

EA2BA is on the right track but I don't think it is evaporation of the fuel because it needs to be in the atmosphere to do that. When the fuel is in the system it vapourises if it gets too hot. So there is probably a part of the system overheating.
